The Shinobi world has seen its share of strife and peace over the folds of time, as comes the responsibility with society built upon the backs of warring clans of the same namesake. Of these villages, several have managed to obtain such status among their own countries and others that they’ve even gained either the recognition of having their leaders honored with the title of Kage or just plain not getting fucked with by other people out of the sheer fear of the devastation it might bring to either side.
But that’s just the start of it all. Each village has been given its own unique history and notation, as well as an NPC leader. These were all formulated through a means of resourcing information from the source material itself and altered just enough to make the plot original and easy to control if something ridiculously huge happens plot-wise in the manga itself that everyone would want to jump onto.
It is rather wise to note that while this game does not observe recognition of every village as an initially joinable entity (As you’ve no doubt probably noticed), we do encourage the creation of such criteria through our Custom Village system. You may be asking yourself at this point, however: “Why were these villages excluded in the first place?”
Well, that’s a pretty simple question to answer. Details. There were simply not enough to work with and they thus require the aid of the aforementioned system. Think you can offer what needs to be there? Go for it!
Another almost instantly recognizable thing you might notice is that there are no teams here. Only villages. Why is this? Because we want our players to decide how they progress freely and form that portion of the game for themselves through their own cognitive ability to construct a path of progression using their own imagination! While some people may disagree with this idea, we think it works here at Remix, mostly because we’ve seen what everyone else has to offer and felt like trying something new and less… boring.
It is highly likely however, that you may find us “sponsoring” special storylines or events that might seem similar to a plot progression. The difference? Plot progressions like those normally shake the very roots of the whole game, but when they’re centered around specific individuals given such a clear to work with these details, you may find it only now effects a small part of it all. Let’s take a look at an example, shall we?
Let’s say Kumo sends an assassin down to Suna for whatever reason to take out one of its prominent members. A story concocted between the involved parties. The story gains interest and grows to a member fold of around maybe five or six people and extends far beyond the original idea to explore the strife between those countries. Every other village? They probably have no idea what’s going on and couldn’t care less. These two villages would then work with one another to alter the background and presentation in their two villages to reflect what has happened.
So, as you can see in laymen’s terms; each village grows independent of itself or with one another through such occasional works and collaborations. The players are now shaping their own story and game as they play. No staff controlled storylines and plots, nothing like that. It’s all up to you guys! The staff has become just another staple part of helping to get everyone judged and progressing on the statistical side, as well as moderating the forum for behavioral issues occasionally if so needed.
Another cool thing? If a story dies off and nobody completes it? It doesn’t get recorded historically and doesn’t affect anything, so nobody has to worry. They can all just get rewarded and move on with their lives.
Smple. Now go choose a village! Information on each one can be found in the Bingo Book Sections on the Forum under each village’s designated Bingo Book.
